Role Overview:

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team, responsible for coordinating asset accounting and providing expert financial compliance and advice.

About the Role
  • This role is part of the Financial Accounting team, reporting to the Manager Financial Accounting.
  • The Financial Accountant will support the Service by providing timely and quality information, reviews and planning in relation to CQ Health fixed assets.
  • The role will play a significant part in the development and delivery of strategic asset management plans, short- and long-term capital budget planning, comprehensive evaluations, and the coordination of monthly and annual asset processes and reporting.
About You
  • A degree in accounting or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Queensland health service regulations would be beneficial.
