Junior Trading Operations Specialist Job Description

The Junior Trading Operations Specialist role at a leading trading firm involves overseeing the settlement of digital assets and fiat related trades, communicating with internal and external counterparties, and ensuring timely and accurate settlements.

  • Manage digital asset and fiat related trade settlement and communicate with internal and external trading counterparties to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
  • Perform trade reconciliation from post-trade to settlement to ensure correct and timely settlement.
  • Monitor and maintain treasury balances across operations, liaising with trading and finance teams on accounting for asset balances.
  • Liaise internally with trading, OTC, and options teams on balances and settlement status, providing administrative and client communication support as needed.
  • Rebalance assets and whitelist crypto addresses across multiple CEXs and DEXs.
  • Add new banking beneficiaries and support trading desks with fiat transfers and settlements, liaising with banks' account managers on cut-off times, fees, and troubleshooting.
  • Track and alert clients on margin and net open positions, liaising with clients on transferring assets to maintain margin thresholds.
  • Monitor and report technical and financial problems, supporting the dev team in improving processes and automation.
  • Manage internal operations ticketing processes and work with trading teams to streamline and improve these.
  • Oversee and enhance the collection, documentation, and organization of external counterparty FX and OTC related trade data for cost and best execution tracking.

A strong candidate will have 1+ years of prior trading or trading operations experience, preferably including crypto assets. A minimum Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Accounting is required.
