About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the management of financial transactions, analysis and reporting.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparation of financial reports and analysis;
  • Raising of invoices and budget forecasting;
  • Revenue and expense data collection and compliance checks;
  • Maintenance and testing of existing finance systems;
  • Design and testing of new finance systems and business processes;
  • Providing training to stakeholders on existing systems;
  • Journals, accruals and general ledger reconciliations;
  • Supporting acquittals to external granting agencies within specified deadlines;
  • Working collaboratively with members of the Budgets, Reporting and Business Support group.

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team;
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and electronic mail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach;
  • Proven analytical and problem solving capability.
