**The Role**

Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for working with internal stakeholders to provide performance insights, analysis, and recommendations to the business to support decision-making and drive business performance. Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Provide insightful analysis and commentary on performance to identify patterns and trends to inform business strategies.
- Play a pivotal role in the annual budgeting and planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals as well as identifying possible opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and performance metrics.
- Assess financial performance of various business units or projects and provide insights on areas of improvement or underperformance.
- Focus on adding value to the business by partnering with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency improvements, and cost optimisation.

**About you**

You're a hands-on analyst that can make things happen. Reliable, hardworking, and flexible in your approach, you will also possess:

- The ability to analyse financial and non-financial information and identify key drivers and reasons for variances against expectations, including offering recommendations to management to improve performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a strong service focus and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools, including MS Excel. Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, would be an advantage.
- Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or related discipline and will be CPA/CA qualified
- Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage.
