Australia Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (Nawctsd) Full time

Position Description
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER WESTERN PACIFIC. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.
Responsibilities
You will support the department in the day-to-day financial management operations of the command including research on financial policy matters and communicating with internal and external stakeholders on financial issues.
You will perform and advise on work in the budget execution phase.
You will research, track, and report budget execution metrics using a variety of systems and software in accordance with established funding execution goals and milestones.
You will work on general ledger research, journal vouchers and other funding document execution advising of funds status, legal and regulatory policy impacts regarding budget execution.
You will collaborate, coordinate, and liaise with leadership and staff-level stakeholders across departments, to research and reconcile open obligations.
You will receive and coordinate financial execution data calls and audit responses such as, but not limited to: Financial Internal Audit Readiness initiatives, Tri-annual Reviews, Dormant Account Review – Quarterly, and Fiscal year end close out.
You will assist the Comptroller to provide accounting policy and procedures that are in compliance with DON, Department of Defense (DoD), and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) directives to be used across the command.
You will provide financial management and budget execution guidance regarding policy to include providing training to personnel throughout the command.
You will attend accounting and policy meetings in representation of the command, Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific.
