As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for managing the preparation of financial statements for various business structures.

  • Preparation of financial statements for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals
  • Preparation of tax returns for various business structures
  • Liaison with regulatory bodies on all client related matters
  • Sole management of small client portfolio
  • Leading the training & supervision of junior staff
  • Coordination & review of work prepared by junior staff & offshore team
  • Preparation and presentation of internal technical training sessions
  • Preparation of Client updates & alerts
  • Preparation of simple & complex Fringe Benefit Tax returns
  • Assist with preparing advice on business issues
  • Preparation of a multitude of ad hoc reports for financial purposes
  • Hands on preparation of advanced financial work
Key Skills and Qualifications

Time management, detailed-oriented, and organized, with ability to multi-task

Effective written and oral communication skills within all levels of the organization

Assist in the learning and development of junior staff

Basic understanding of financial regulations

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word

Working knowledge of various range of accounting systems

Identify business performance issues and ability to identify key indicators.

A minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience

Have completed a relevant accounting degree (BCom or BBus)

Advanced knowledge of computerized accounting packages i.e., IPS, APS, Xero and MYOB.
