Job Title: Behaviour Support Specialist
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality support services to participants living in the Wollongong / Shellharbour / Nowra areas, along with the Sutherland Shire and lower St George area of Sydney.
The successful candidate will have current suitability at the Advanced or Specialist level - as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - and will be responsible for assisting NDIS participants, their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space is also a key responsibility of this role. Additionally, the Behaviour Support Practitioner will develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Current suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at the Advanced or Specialist level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner;
- Completed a degree-level qualification as an allied health professional;
- Report writing experience;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload;
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas;
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
