About the Role

The position of Mergers and Acquisitions Manager is crucial to our organization's success, overseeing all Group M&A activities.

This role sits in a high-performing team based in Melbourne, executing transactions with support from Senior team members.

The M&A Manager will be involved in every stage of the process, including:

  • Due diligence
  • Reviewing and building financial models
  • Managing stakeholders
  • Preparing papers for the Board and Investment Committee
  • Assisting in negotiations

Main responsibilities include:

  • Delivering acquisitions that meet strategic objectives
  • Ensuring integration of acquisitions while minimizing risks
  • Improving internal M&A practices and procedures
  • Working closely with Business Units to identify opportunities and drive value from existing assets
  • Analyzing new trends and evaluating their impact
  • Exploring alternative business models for operations
  • Providing support on strategic development projects

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  • Relevant tertiary education in finance or business
  • Previous experience in Big 4 Corporate Finance, internal M&A/Corporate Development, or Investment Banking
  • Strong valuations and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
