Customer Relationship Specialist

The role of a Customer Relationship Specialist is to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their financial needs. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with business owners and decision-makers across various industries.

You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be utilized to solve complex challenges, build deep knowledge of banking products, and develop breadth through exposure to customers with national presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of diverse customers with a customer-centric approach
  • Collaborating with product partners and the credit team to structure deals
  • Working closely with lending services to minimize provisions
  • Building valued relationships with operations teams to build efficiencies and minimize non-lending losses
  • Applying strong credit and industry analysis skills towards credit proposal recommendations
  • Managing compliance and assessing both new and existing transactions
  • Ensuring all matters raised are addressed in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements:

  • Ability to build long-term client relationships supported by best-of-class customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage business leaders and decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking products (e.g., working capital financing, trade finance, cash management) and ability to analyze financial statements
  • Ability to identify financial opportunities for clients and recommend appropriate banking products and services
  • Ability to negotiate and structure complex banking deals
  • Proficiency in evaluating credit risk and managing the lending process
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management principles
