Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role
VMCH, a leading organization in the community services sector, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join its AP team. This full-time position reports to the AP Team Leader and offers a golden opportunity for professional growth and development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have 1 – 2 years of experience processing Accounts Payable invoices in a high-volume setting, with excellent attention to detail and highly accurate data input skills. Your customer service and communication skills should be top-notch, enabling you to effectively manage queries from vendors and internal managers, as well as resolve issues efficiently.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proven work experience in accounts payable or similar roles
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and medium/large-scale accounting software
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Prior experience handling high-volume invoices
- Able to take initiative and work independently
- An understanding of GST and other financial legislative requirements impacting the accounts payable function
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with Epicor, Docstar, and Arm
