Job Description

Ebury, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a Payments Operations Graduate to join our Sydney office.

About the Role:

This role involves working on-site 5 days a week and requires the candidate to work a minimum of 38 hours per week. To be considered, applicants must hold Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct and verify client payments according to internal processes and SLAs.
  • Complete payment beneficiaries in accordance with internal processes.
  • Help clients resolve transaction issues via email, phone, and chat.
  • Take instructions from clients offline, following internal processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate end-to-end accountability.
  • Create and enrich transaction reporting files manually.
  • Reconcile client funds, FX settlements, and internal cash movements across Ebury's bank accounts network.
  • Investigate unallocated and non-received funds, rejecting or escalating as needed.
  • Fund client trades where manual funding is required.
  • Verify payment status in third-party banking and payment platforms, including SWIFT GPI.
  • Update client information adhering to relevant processes and procedures.
  • Communicate task status to colleagues, supervisors, and managers, escalating problems promptly.
  • Adhere to all internal policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Meet quality standards and adhere to SLAs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Practice good office etiquette through punctuality, attendance, and behavior.
  • Proactive, able to work within strict timeframes and under pressure.
  • Diligent, with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Cooperative, comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and actively asks questions to confirm process understanding.
  • Motivated, desiring to contribute to Ebury's success.
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English; Mandarin and Cantonese fluency is a plus but not required.
