Positive Behaviour Support Specialist

By providing expertise in positive behaviour support and therapeutic support to clients in different environments, you'll make an impact by addressing underlying causes of behaviours of concern or challenging behaviours through person-centred interventions.

A typical day involves developing individualised strategies, undertaking functional behavioural assessments, implementing and monitoring behaviour support plans, and planning behaviour support approaches that comply with best practice and legislation.

Key qualities for success include a proactive attitude, high initiative, and desire to achieve outstanding outcomes for our clients and staff. Ideally, you'll have a tertiary qualification in Psychology, experience in the disability sector, and experience providing clinical supervision.
