Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Specialist to join our Group Finance division. This role provides an opportunity for you to take ownership of asset-related processes and systems, ensuring obligations are met regarding financial treatment of capital expenditure, fixed assets, and operating leases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all asset management systems are kept updated with the latest additions and disposals.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly reporting on capex, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
  • Review month end ledger postings for accuracy and explain variances.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for capex, fixed assets, and lease accounting transactions.
  • Review and approve business cases requesting the use of capital expenditure.
  • Prepare post implementation reviews for projects ensuring all financial related business case outcomes have been met.
  • Maintain process and policy documentation regarding capex management, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
  • Review capex and asset related balance sheet reconciliations for quality and accuracy ensuring they are well supported.
  • Identify and highlight risks and issues, and asset related improvement opportunities.
  • Act as point of contact for any external or internal audit requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant finance experience, within capex or asset management.
  • CPA/CA qualification highly desirable.
  • Capability to work autonomously and drive process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to an ASX-listed company would be advantageous but is not essential.
