The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Fleet Asset Manager, the Fleet Asset Lead is responsible for ensuring the effective inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of our light & heavy vehicles. This role plays a key part in supporting safety, compliance, and high levels of fleet availability across the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience managing fleet asset programs in transport, waste, or industrial services environments.
Demonstrated success in coordinating vehicle builds and deployments across multi-site or field-based operations.
Ability to develop vehicle specifications that meet operational needs and align with national fleet standards.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across operational, commercial, and procurement functions.
Experience in capital planning, delivery scheduling, and monitoring asset performance.
Deep understanding of the fleet asset lifecycle, including specification, procurement, commissioning, and disposal.
Practical knowledge of build tracking processes and coordination with OEMs and body builders to ensure timely delivery and effective issue resolution.
Experienced with asset data systems such as JDE and Coupa.
A degree in logistics, engineering, or a related field is desirable; post-graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
