The Safety and Compliance Manager at Blue Mountains City Council plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the organization's safety culture. This position is instrumental in collaborating with senior leadership to educate, implement, review, and enhance the Council's health and safety protocols in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system that aligns with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of safety professionals to ensure effective implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing safety programs in a large, complex organization.
- Strong understanding of safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and employees.
- Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve safety goals and objectives.
