Strategic Policy Leader

This is a senior role where you will shape the strategic agenda of an organisation by leading policy, advocacy, research, and program evaluation at scale. As a visionary leader, you will guide the development of effective and efficient strategies to drive organisational change and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policy and advocacy strategies to influence government ministers, sector partners, and other stakeholders nationally.
  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality programs that achieve measurable outcomes for children and families facing disadvantage.
  • Represent the organisation with key stakeholders, including government ministers, sector partners, and philanthropists, to secure funding and support for organisational goals.
About You
  • A highly experienced leader with deep expertise in shaping public policy, social impact strategy, service design, and program delivery within complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australia's social, educational, political, and economic landscape, with exceptional strategic thinking, policy acumen, and the ability to translate evidence into meaningful impact.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as law, social sciences, public policy, political science, economics, or business administration.
  • Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded, particularly in areas such as policy analysis, program evaluation, or social impact assessment.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, policy acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver organisational objectives.
