We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Finance, Financial Markets to join our team at Westpac Institutional Bank. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the financial objectives of our Financial Markets business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Performance Management: Monitor and analyze all aspects of financial performance and product control for our business, ensuring that we meet our business management and statutory responsibilities.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability, working closely with our Managing Director and other business stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Drive the production of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports that clearly align financial performance results against targets and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our business stakeholders, including our Managing Director, business leads, and other senior executives.
  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of our financial processes, ensuring that they are aligned to our risk appetite and comply with all relevant obligations.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting, with over 10 years of post-graduate experience.
  • Professional Qualifications: CA/CPA qualification preferred.
  • Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of financial markets balance sheet and profit & loss drivers and performance metrics, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
