Job Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, profitable and cost-efficient operational environment.

This includes collaborating with peers and managers to ensure a robust plan is in place to deliver daily objectives to customers, making sure resources and equipment are available across forthcoming days and weeks of the operation.

The role also involves using focus on Continuous Improvement to support efficiency and improve productivity, while ensuring safety remains paramount in all operations.

Working closely with frontline leaders, the Operations Manager will consistently recognize team members for their outstanding contributions and develop a strong, values-based and engaged culture.

Additionally, the Operations Manager will monitor and actively manage costs to reduce waste and maximize value against contractual requirements.

Determining hourly/daily/weekly labor and equipment requirements aligned to shift, workload and safety obligations will also form an important part of this role.

About You

We're seeking a proven people leader who prioritizes safety and is customer-focused. Ideally, you'll have experience with similar retail/distribution operating frameworks and understand key challenges and opportunities associated with this model.

A qualification in Logistics Management or relevant business discipline would be beneficial, combined with a solid understanding of profit and loss and other KPIs that help contain storage, handling and distribution costs.
