Senior Lending Specialist Role

NAB seeks a highly skilled professional to join their Customer Home Lending Operations team as a Senior Lending Specialist.

This exciting opportunity will see you play a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring credit assessment and verification for home loan applications are completed accurately and efficiently.

You will work closely with the broader lending services teams and wider NAB group to achieve the right customer resolution, while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance with process and procedures pertinent to the role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and verifications for home loan applications
  • Manage complex customer requests and issues end-to-end
  • Deliver first point resolution for customers in line with operating procedures
  • Resolve complex complaints by being an expert in the customer complaints platform
  • Collaborate with the broader lending services teams and wider NAB group to achieve the right customer resolution
  • E nsure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by inputting accurate information for customers in core NAB systems and in line with team Operating Rhythm
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by keeping customers updated in the most appropriate channel
  • Proactively manage risk, adhering to process and procedures pertinent to the role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified to their People Leader with a proposed solution
Key Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of home lending processes, policies, and regulations
  • A good understanding of Home Lending Operational Risk
  • The ability to build strong relationships with all key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Good resilience, prioritisation & time management skills
  • Strong initiative & problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to adapt and learn quickly and coach others
