Technical Support Specialist Position

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Customer Service & Support team as a Senior Technical Support Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for owning, troubleshooting and solving complex customer technical issues.

About the Role:

As a key member of our CSS team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to investigate and resolve complex technical problems. Your expertise in Windows System Administration, Configuration and Troubleshooting, Hybrid Technologies and other areas will enable you to provide high-quality support to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and Resolve Complex Issues: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and solve intricate technical challenges facing customers.
  • Community Building: Develop and maintain knowledge-sharing programs to facilitate collaboration among peers and promote best practices.
  • Product/Process Improvement: Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to identify potential product defects and develop innovative automation techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess at least 5 years of technical support experience or equivalent in IT, Computer Science or related field. You should also have in-depth knowledge of Windows System Administration, Configuration and Troubleshooting, Hybrid Technologies and other relevant areas.

  • Registry/File Storage/Event Logs and Auditing/File Association
  • Powershell/CMD line driven utilities
  • Core OS architecture like CPU/Disk/Memory/Page File
  • Virtualization and Hyper-V technologies
  • Store for Business APPX installation
  • Windows File Explorer/Desktop Search
  • Troubleshooting Application Performance
  • Troubleshooting System Reliability issues (crash, hangs, bugcheck, unexpected reboot)
  • Troubleshooting System Management components like WinRM, WMI, Task Scheduler, Task Manager, Powershell
  • Utilizing tools like Sysinternals, Fiddler, NetMon, NetStat, Tracert, SDDC
