Job Overview

This is a key role within our Quality and Innovation Unit, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, and innovation in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical governance through data collection, analysis, monitoring, and reporting to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Lead investigative reviews of serious adverse events and compliance with associated regulatory requirements.
  • Provide report writing and recommendation support for critical incidents.
  • Produce high-level reports with data analysis and improvement actions for governance meetings.
  • Contribute to the organisational clinical audit program to identify and implement improvement strategies.
  • Offer clinical guidance and advice on patient safety and quality.
  • Opportunity to act in a Director role during leave periods.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings as required.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field and/or equivalent experience in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Effective use of relevant technologies, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Proven experience in leading critical incident investigations.
  • Advanced report writing skills with expertise in interpreting, analysing, and presenting data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge or experience with iPM, VHIMS, RiskMan, and PFM systems.
