Market Risk Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Risk Professional to join our team.

About the Role

In this position, you will work with our Market Risk Team to develop and implement risk management strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality risk analysis and reporting to enhance our reputation and meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborating with various departments to provide policy interpretation on regional and local market risk policies and frameworks.
  • Collecting and analyzing data in a timely manner to assess market risk performance against established guidelines.
  • Coordinating committee meetings and maintaining accurate minutes.
  • Preparing regular reports on market risk performance, including credit limits, loan due dates, borrow ratings reviews, and audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant company policies and guidelines.
  • Maintaining and updating credit limits in front and back office systems.
  • Producing risk exposure and profit/loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes.
  • Detecting exceptions in credit and market risk usage.
  • Performing maintenance tasks on middle office systems.
  • Assisting in testing new risk management systems.
  • Documenting and updating risk management systems regularly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong Excel skills and analytical expertise.
  • A client-centric approach and excellent communication/presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance, or accounting (preferred).
