Job Description

The Grounds and Facilities Officer role at Hemmant Flexible School involves efficiently carrying out gardening and handyman tasks. This position requires a high level of proficiency in plant care, minor maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of school outdoor facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team and contribute to the upkeep of the school's grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out gardening and handyman tasks with efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of outdoor facilities
  • Performing minor maintenance and repairs as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Aptitude for and ability to carry out gardening and plant care
  • Ability to carry out minor maintenance/repairs/cleaning of school outdoor facilities
  • Understanding of PPE compliance issues and use of appropriate PPE at all times
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently
  • Formal qualifications in relevant field of horticulture
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the maintenance of plants, landscaping, tree planting and pruning
