Grounds Maintenance Specialist

As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the site grounds and buildings. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and self-motivated individual who is hard working, reliable and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Regular Lawn Maintenance: Mow, edge and trim lawns as needed.
- Plant and Maintain Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal requirements and maintain them throughout the year.
- Operate and Maintain Landscaping Equipment: Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and tools, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
- Implement and Maintain Irrigation Systems: Implement and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Apply Fertilizers, Herbicides, and Pesticides: Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Remove Debris and Weeds: Remove debris, litter, and weeds from landscaped areas.
- Perform Basic Maintenance and Repairs: Perform basic maintenance and repairs on grounds equipment.
- Assist in Designing and Implementing New Landscaping Projects: Assist in the design and implementation of new landscaping projects.
- Monitor and Report Safety Hazards: Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers; knowledge of basic gardening and horticulture techniques; experience with irrigation system maintenance and troubleshooting; familiarity with lawn care techniques and safe handling of chemicals and fertilizers; basic equipment maintenance and repair skills; valid driver's license; pesticide application certification (preferred).
- Physical Ability: Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Teamwork: Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
