Job Overview

Hawthorn-Melbourne provides English language courses for international students. Our programs include General English, Academic English, IELTS Preparation and English for High School.

Our campus is an award-winning environment where staff work in a collaborative atmosphere. Classes run face-to-face for 4 hours a day. Teachers have additional time for preparation, marking, and meetings.

Teachers typically work 2-5 days a week. We are expecting an increase in teaching opportunities due to the new year approaching.

Key Skills & Qualities
  • Experience in EFL/ESL teaching in Australia or overseas.
  • Effective class management, knowledge of TESOL theory and practice, and understanding of student engagement.
  • Ability to carry out administrative duties such as attendance monitoring and course record-keeping.
  • Professionalism, including teamwork and high standards of conduct.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience across various ESL courses.
  • Experience with online learning platforms including Zoom and Moodle.
  • Strong MS Office competencies.
Requirements
  • Minimum degree qualification.
  • Entry-level TESOL qualification.*
