The role of a Dental Support Specialist at an esteemed healthcare facility is pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Flow Management: Coordinate appointments, collaborate with dental professionals, and liaise with reception for scheduling and payment processing.
- Chair Side Assistance: Prepare instruments, assist with clinical procedures, perform data entry, and develop radiographs.
- Surgery Organisation: Maintain infection control standards, clean and maintain the surgery environment, manage waste disposal, and provide support to other Dental Assistants as needed.
- Sterile Supply Unit Maintenance: Clean handpieces, process instruments, monitor stock levels, and report any issues or concerns.
- Work Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to established policies, report hazardous conditions, and participate in health and safety activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Dental knowledge and experience
- Good personal hygiene and appearance
- Confidentiality and initiative
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in reception duties
- Qualifications in radiography, sterilising, first aid, and Certificate III in dental assisting
