The Opportunity

As our Tax Strategy Director, you'll collaborate closely with clients to enhance business strategies, addressing tomorrow's challenges today. This hybrid position is based in Melbourne, Australia, offering flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage client relationships, generating revenue and overseeing complex commercial partnerships.
  • Lead and develop teams to bring the firm's Employee Value Proposition to life, achieving performance objectives and broad visibility.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies, operating models, processes, and compliance frameworks to manage indirect taxes throughout the tax lifecycle, increasing operational efficiency in meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for tax optimization, credits, and refund recovery, and exposure reduction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Substantial Indirect Tax experience within a professional services accounting firm, law firm, or large organization.
  • Strong technical skills in indirect tax, particularly in Stamp Duty.
  • Leadership skills in market-facing initiatives, client delivery, and staff development.
