The Role

In a Montessori classroom, educators serve as a link between the Prepared Environment and the children. Their role is to observe the children and guide them in their own unique learning process, to help them develop a life-long love of learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality education and care for all enrolled children
  • Observe children and guide them in their learning process
  • Develop and implement educational programs
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve service goals
  • Communicate effectively with families

Requirements

  • Cert III or Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • 1-2 years experience in a leadership role
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
