Job Title: Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Room Leader

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (dependent on experience) plus super

Job Summary:

Tradewind Recruitment Australia is seeking a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator with Room Leader experience to work at a Montessori Early Learning Centre in Melbourne's South region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-lead a classroom to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care
  • Establish and implement age-appropriate programs aligned with the VEYLF and Montessori curriculum
  • Create meaningful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning experiences
  • Foster positive relationships with children and families
  • Observe and record children's progress
  • Contribute to inclusion support needs as required
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs per the National Quality Framework, with clear objectives and family engagement in mind
  • Reflect on practices, maintain inclusive environments, and build partnerships with families and the community
  • Keep confidential records, respond to inquiries, and promote the centre professionally at all times
  • Participate in the integrated team, ensuring compliance with policies, Child Safe Standards, and the Australian Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics
Requirements:
  • Fully completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Previous experience as an Early Childhood Room Leader
  • Strong understanding or experience in working within a Montessori setting
  • Current level 2 First Aid Certificate and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificate
  • Satisfactory Police and Working with Children checks
  • Knowledge of National Regulations, NQF, VEYLD and EYLF, Child Safe Standards
