Our restaurant in Southport, Queensland, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the Role:
  • We are looking for an experienced Cook who can prepare traditional dishes, manage food allergies, and meet high-quality standards.
  • The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV level qualification and at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knife-handling techniques, be able to marinate, season, roast, and bake dishes according to traditional recipes, and have a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Responsibilities:
  • To assist chefs in menu development, daily meal planning, and receiving deliveries and safely storing stock in hygienic environments.
  • To maintain strict hygiene and safety practices in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
  • To train and supervise junior staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV level qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
  • Positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills.
