Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced and varied environment? Brisbane Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, is looking for a skilled therapist to join our team on a casual basis.

About the Job

This role offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive attitude, and be committed to customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will plan, assess, implement, and evaluate clinical care in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes. You will also contribute to the coordination of clinical care while working in partnership with the allied health team, therapy assistants, nursing, and non-clinical staff.

Responsibilities
  • You will plan, assess, implement, and evaluate clinical care in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
  • You will incorporate the provision of education and support to patients and their carer/family for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, discharge plans or end of life needs.
  • You will commit to an ongoing learning and professional development portfolio to ensure case mix requirements are supported and registration requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Skills, knowledge, and clinical reasoning in occupational therapy with experience and demonstrated competency in (including FIM accreditation), geriatrics, general medical, post general surgical, and neurological
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
