About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Gym Coordinator to contribute to the overall viability of the gym facility and supervise the day-to-day operational and logistical requirements. In this role, you will promote active and healthy lifestyles by creating engaging programs and opportunities for all members, delivering exceptional customer service and contribute to marketing with a commitment to growing the gym community through membership sales, retention and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a vibrant, supportive and engaging gym community
  • Develop strategies and programs that embody the holistic health and well-being values of ACU Active and reflect ACU's Mission, vision and values
  • Provide recommendations on the improvement of the product and services keeping the contemporary fitness trends and the unique health and wellness needs of member groups (students, staff, alumni and community)
About the Student Experience Directorate

The Student Experience Directorate delivers a world-class student experience by creating engaging environments in which students form strong connections with their peers and develop a deep sense of belonging to the vibrant ACU community. The Directorate is aligned to the student journey from an academic, support services and a social perspective, integrating the contact points between the student and the university services, programs and activities students can access throughout their study.

About Student Life

As part of the Student Experience Directorate, the Student Life unit delivers vibrant social and sporting programs, events and activities for students. Student Life activities encourage students to engage with each other, participate in life on campus and develop a sense of belonging to an inclusive and diverse community at ACU enhancing students' university experience. The unit provides strategic and practical support for the university's national and campus-based student associations, student clubs and societies, and sport clubs to foster leadership opportunities and enable student-led activities.

What We Offer
  • Total remuneration valued to $117,590 - $127,214 (pro rata) pa, including salary component $99,365 - $107,498 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date
