Job Title

A dynamic and experienced Mining Technology Systems Technician is sought after to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile equipment, radio networks, and fleet management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain advanced mining technology systems including mobile radio networks (LTE, WIFI), safety systems, and custom mine specification systems.
  • Integrate and support fleet management systems (e.g., MineStar, Front Runner, Dispatch or similar systems; Terrain or similar systems; CAS).
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and communication systems as required.
  • Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Qualifications Required:
  • Proven experience with heavy or light mobile equipment.
  • Mining industry experience.
  • Familiarity with HME in autonomous operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile radio network systems (LTE, WIFI).
  • Experience working with fleet management systems such as MineStar, Modular, or similar dispatch systems.
  • Relevant Trade Certificate and qualifications as a Communications Technician or equivalent trade.
  • Post-trade qualification experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and relevant applications.
  • Action-oriented, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing and making complex decisions under pressure.
  • Must have valid Australian Work Rights.
  • Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screens.
  • Current Driver's Licence is required.
