Job Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cutting-edge mining technology systems. Your expertise in mobile equipment, radio networks, and fleet management systems will be instrumental in driving system reliability and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain mining technology systems including mobile radio networks (LTE, WIFI), safety systems, and custom mine specification systems.
  • Fleet Management Integration: Integrate and support fleet management systems (e.g., MineStar, Front Runner, Dispatch or similar systems; Terrain or similar systems; CAS).
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and communication systems as required.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Task Prioritization: Prioritize tasks and make informed decisions in a timely manner in a dynamic work environment.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience with heavy or light mobile equipment, mining industry experience, familiarity with HME in autonomous operations.
  • Radio Network Systems: Demonstrated experience with mobile radio network systems (LTE, WIFI).
  • Fleet Management Systems: Experience working with fleet management systems such as MineStar, Modular, or similar dispatch systems.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Trade Certificate and qualifications as a Communications Technician or equivalent trade.
  • Post-Trade Qualification: Post-trade qualification experience is highly regarded.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in computer operations and relevant applications.
  • Personal Qualities: Action-oriented, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing and making complex decisions under pressure.
