About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized technician to install, configure, and maintain advanced mining technology systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and be proficient in computer operations and relevant applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain mobile radio networks (LTE, WIFI), safety systems, and custom mine specification systems.
  • Integrate and support fleet management systems such as MineStar, Front Runner, Dispatch or similar systems; Terrain or similar systems; CAS.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and communication systems as required.
  • Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Prioritise tasks and make informed decisions in a timely manner in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with heavy or light mobile equipment.
  • Mining industry experience.
  • Familiarity with HME in autonomous operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile radio network systems (LTE, WIFI).
  • Experience working with fleet management systems such as MineStar, Modular, or similar dispatch systems.
  • Relevant Trade Certificate and qualifications as a Communications Technician or equivalent trade.
  • Post-trade qualification experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and relevant applications.
