About the role

We are inviting applications for the role of Trainee MMU Operator based at our Deer Park Quarry sites. As a valued team member, you will be specifically trained and supported to perform duties within our blast crew, as a bench assistant, and eventually operate an MMU.

Key responsibilities

  • Operating blasting plant and machinery and assisting with preventative maintenance;
  • Working in the field with your teammates to assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down predrilled blast holes at quarry sites;
  • Providing excellence in service to our valued customers;
  • Demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, always' at all times acting with integrity and respect;

Requirements

  • A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license is preferable;
  • Demonstrated previous experience working outdoors in all weather conditions in a physically demanding environment;
  • The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening;
  • A motivated self-starter, positive, team-based attitude where you look out for your mates;
