Job Title

We are seeking an experienced training manager to lead our national port-based training and development team.

  • Develop and implement a commercially focused, compliant training and development program consistent with industry standards.
  • Manage a team of training professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence.
  • Implement and monitor curriculum, course content, and delivery methodology to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Control effective operational training rosters and budget management to ensure highly effective, cost-efficient, and quality business outcomes.
  • Develop and provide quality metrics and reporting on critical training delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation to ensure the delivery of diverse interests and demands.
  • Embed a positive safety culture within the team, focusing on awareness and vigilance.
  • Monitor the quality of training preparation, delivery, and assessment of all courses conducted.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • Extensive leadership experience and commitment to driving a customer-centric service culture.
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with ability to lead compliance and implementation.
