- Eastern Health is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Acute Mental Health team in Box Hill Hospital.
As a Social Worker in this role, you will work in partnership with consumers, carers, families, and other service providers to provide high-quality clinical services within a recovery-oriented framework.
About the role
- This role is suitable for individuals with a minimum of two years of experience working as a Social Worker in a mental health setting.
- You will be responsible for providing individualized support and services to consumers, including assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.
- You will also work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
Key responsibilities
- Hold a degree qualification in social work approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for practicing membership.
- Be eligible for membership of the AASW.
- Have relevant theoretical knowledge, experience, and skills in providing evidence-based social work assessment and treatment in a mental health setting.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of and experience in delivering recovery-oriented mental health practice.
- Have demonstrated ability to engage consumers in the development and implementation of individualized plans designed to promote, foster, and sustain personal recovery.
