Customer Account Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Customer Account Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working closely with customers to ensure their accounts are maintained and serviced in accordance with our internal policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit, accounts receivable or collections, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with SAP software.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building relationships and providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business outcomes.

About the Role:

  • Monitor assigned trading accounts and employ approved follow-up procedures to ensure customers are kept within trading terms.
  • Reconcile customer accounts as required.
  • Assess claims and direct them to be processed efficiently.
  • Handle customer account enquiries.
  • Allocate account payments where required.
  • Negotiate with customers to provide positive outcomes for the business and its customers.
  • Follow up on pricing issues within other departments and their stakeholders.
  • Prepare end-of-month reports and other reporting requirements.

About You:

  • You have at least 3 years' experience in an accounts receivable, credit or collections role.
  • You have strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with SAP software.
  • You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You think quickly on your feet and are proactive in your communication.
