Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Specialist

A key role within a respected organization seeks a highly skilled Accounts Receivable/Credit Officer to manage customer accounts, process payments, and maintain accurate financial data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile daily customer payments with precision and accuracy.
  • Regularly review debtor accounts to identify potential risks and take proactive measures.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships while following up on outstanding invoices in a timely manner.
  • Manage credit applications, conduct reference checks, and set up new customer accounts post-credit approval.
  • Evaluate credit limits periodically and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and manage a shared collections inbox efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure the security of financial data.
  • Work closely with sales account managers to provide actionable customer activity reports.
  • Contribute to improving systems and streamlining credit processes.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
  • Familiarity with Pronto ERP software.
  • Strong knowledge of customer account processes and credit control principles.
  • Certificate IV in Accounting (or equivalent qualification) is highly regarded.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with experience compiling reports and interpreting financial data.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • A team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
