Chief Information Systems Architect

Job Overview

The role of Chief Information Systems Architect plays a pivotal part in shaping the organisation's information landscape, driving efficiency through innovative tools and best practices.

This position requires technical expertise, initiative, as well as experience in developing and delivering information management strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, open and friendly communicator who can solve complex business challenges leveraging the right mix of people, process and technology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead enterprise information management strategies, establish governance frameworks and drive efficiency through innovative tools and practices.
  • Lead improvements in recordkeeping to ensure compliance with regulations, legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement modern records management solutions.
  • Provide specialist technical advice to ICT teams and business citizen developers.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure partnerships with leading providers in the industry.
  • Design programs to enable business and project teams to adopt Microsoft 365 effectively.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing information systems, particularly AvePoint Opus, within a NSW Government agency is highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure AI tools.
  • Expertise in information protection and compliance capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate and implement strategies for efficient storage, retrieval and classification of information across diverse systems or user groups.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
