Job Opportunity:

Main Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our regulatory compliance program, overseeing the management of AFSL obligations and providing expert guidance on compliance matters.
  • The ideal candidate will coordinate with global compliance teams, liaise with regulatory bodies such as ASIC and AUSTRAC, and develop effective policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive compliance assessments, managing internal controls, and overseeing third-party due diligence.
  • The selected individual will also review marketing materials, handle escalated disputes, and support regulatory inquiries.
  • In addition, they will promote compliance awareness through training and ensure staff adherence to established policies.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will be based in Australia and have advanced computer literacy.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services compliance is required, preferably with RG146 compliance and ACAMS certification.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Leadership experience and familiarity with ASIC, AUSTRAC, RBA, and APRA regulations are essential.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech ecosystems is highly desirable.
