Job Title: Early Childhood Teacher

St Nicholas Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Gillieston Heights Service. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum and progress of the designated room, working closely with the Educational Leader to ensure the highest quality education for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the curriculum and progress of the designated room
  • Work closely with the Educational Leader to ensure the highest quality education for our children
  • Implement the ELYF curriculum suitable to the needs and interests of children in care
  • Assess the needs of children, monitor their progress, and ensure school readiness when applicable
  • Contribute to the development of a unique team environment, with a network of support across services as well as comprehensive wellbeing programs
Requirements:
  • Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Authority (mandatory)
  • NSW accredited Teacher
  • Child protection qualification
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
  • Working with Children Check verification number
