We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Warehouse Assistant.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Preston, AU, where you will be responsible for maintaining the organization and efficiency of our warehouse operations.

  • Order picking and fulfillment will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring that orders are accurately processed and dispatched to customers in a timely manner.
  • Operation of MHE (Order Picker and Forklift) will also be required, with a focus on safely navigating the warehouse environment and adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading trucks or other transportation vehicles will also be a critical part of this role, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Labelling and storing parts accurately will be essential to maintaining the organization of the warehouse, as well as ensuring that inventory levels are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Packing & wrapping parts for distribution will require attention to detail and a focus on ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Previous warehousing experience in a fast-paced environment - essential
  • Licences for operating MHE (Forklift and Order Picker)
  • Mechanical experience - desirable
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Eye for detail - with quality control inspection of all parts carried out before leaving the warehouse
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of safe work practices
