Canteen Assistant

Albert's Basement Cafe is the in-house café serving staff and visitors at the Chemist Warehouse Head Office here in Preston We're a small, supportive team that values good food, teamwork, and a calm, professional kitchen environment. We're currently looking for either a qualified chef, apprentice chef, or experienced cook to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a reliable weekday schedule, works well under pressure, and takes pride in preparing quality food for a consistent and appreciative customer base.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing and cooking food for breakfast and lunch service

• Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations including food prep, service, and clean-up

• Assisting with menu planning and daily specials (depending on experience level)

• Keeping your workspace clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards

• Helping maintain stock levels and communicating ordering needs

• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
