Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our buying department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our Merchandise Manager and Buyers, ensuring the smooth operation of our buying processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support, including preparing reports, coordinating appointments, and managing correspondence.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process purchase orders, shipping documents, and invoices, and assist with issues or disputes with suppliers.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and shipping dates, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Work closely with Buyers to monitor sales and assist with quality control, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Assist with managing and implementing strategies for inventory optimization, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
  • Prepare reports to provide insights and support decision-making, helping to drive business growth and success.
  • Assist with conducting market research to identify trends, pricing, and competitor information, ensuring we stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including creating formulas, Pivot Tables, and using functions such as Vlookup and Hlookup.
  • High attention to detail and strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer literacy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • An outgoing and friendly personality, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and develop a career in buying within the retail industry.
