About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Administration Assistant to join our dynamic buying team at Prices Plus. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Merchandise Manager and contributing to the success of our retail business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support during meetings with suppliers, including preparing and distributing meeting materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, coordinating appointments, events, and meetings.
  • Process purchase orders, shipping documents, and invoices, and assist with issues or disputes with suppliers.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and shipping dates, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Work closely with buyers to monitor sales and assist with quality control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for inventory optimization.
  • Prepare reports to provide insights and support decision-making, including market research to identify trends, pricing, and competitor information.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including creating formulas, pivot tables, and using functions such as VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP.
  • High attention to detail and strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer literacy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with a can-do attitude.
  • Common sense, enthusiasm, integrity, and flexibility.
  • Keen to learn and participate in training sessions.
  • Able to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
