Mine Subsidence and Remediation Expert

Seeking a seasoned Mine Subsidence and Remediation Engineer to join our East Coast Geotechnical team. This key role will involve assessing, monitoring, and mitigating ground movement impacts caused by underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mine subsidence risk assessments and develop predictive models.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on ground movement and associated infrastructure impacts.
  • Provide technical advice on remediation, prevention, and mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, regulators, and community stakeholders.
  • Prepare expert technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical, Mining, or Civil Engineering.
  • Significant experience in mine subsidence engineering, remediation/mine filling design, and geotechnical assessment.
  • Proven track record in subsidence modeling and interpretation, structural impact assessment, and monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Subsidence Advisory NSW practices.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent registration desirable.
