Geotechnical Professional Wanted for Mine Subsidence Role

Seeking a skilled geotechnical professional to join our team in a critical mine subsidence role.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop predictive models to mitigate ground movement impacts.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on ground movement and associated infrastructure impacts.
  • Provide technical advice on remediation, prevention, and mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, regulators, and community stakeholders.
  • Prepare expert technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to mine subsidence legislation, industry standards, and safety frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective mine subsidence risk assessment strategies.
  2. Provide technical leadership and expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices.
  5. Contribute to knowledge sharing and staff development initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical, Mining or Civil Engineering.
  • Significant experience in mine subsidence engineering, remediation / mine filling design, and geotechnical assessment.
  • Proven track record in subsidence modelling and interpretation, structural impact assessment, and monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent registration desirable.
