About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Asset Performance Analyst to join our 720 Maritime Sustainment line of business based at Garden Island-NSW. As an Asset Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting performance, cost, and risk analysis tasks for the Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG) Materiel System.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and influence decision-making behind the long-term optimisation of performance and cost outcomes for the Asset and related shore systems for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing performance monitoring (OPM) of the Asset and its system or subsystem elements.
  • Carry out data processing and analysis activities, including data cleansing, formatting, validation, statistical analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare impactful reports and recommendations to support business cases and decision-making using performance, cost, and risk analysis outputs.
  • Support lead personnel within the Asset Performance Group (APG) in providing accurate information to inform Asset Performance and Optimisation activities for key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience with technical data compilation and analysis, providing conclusions and/or recommendations on such data.
  • Background in a defence maintenance environment, preferably with experience in ILS/IPS or Systems Engineering.
  • A technical degree in engineering, science, or maths, such as Systems Engineering or Data Science.
  • Working knowledge of defence engineering, maintenance, and financial policies and procedures.
  • Excellent proficiency in general analytical techniques, such as statistical and root cause analysis.
